Kaduna Vocational & Technology Skills Acquisition Cities

The Kaduna State Government is establishing three Vocational & Technology Skills Acquisition Cities in Rigachikun, Samaru Kataf, and Soba to drive youth empowerment and skills development across the three senatorial zones.
Programme Overview
Designed to train 12,000 youths in the first year and scale to 24,000 annually by the second year.
Offers training in 13+ trades, including Welding & Fabrication, Carpentry, Fashion Design, Solar Installation, Electrical Works, Automotive Mechatronics, ICT, Artificial Intelligence, Tiling, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and more.
Provides hands-on, practical training with flexible duration options (short courses: 3 months, advanced levels up to 12 months).
Certification
Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
Graduates may also receive global certifications from partners such as Google, Microsoft, CISCO, and Huawei.
Governance
Supervised by the Kaduna State Skills Development Council, chaired by the Governor.
Partners include NBTE, UNICEF, industry players, and international organizations.
