  • Manage the Ministry’s financial resources, budgeting, and procurement processes to ensure transparency and accountability.

  • Oversee human resources, staff welfare, training, and development.

  • Provide administrative support and coordination for all other departments.

  • Maintain internal audit and compliance functions to strengthen institutional efficiency.

  • Ensure effective public affairs and communication for MBIT’s activities.

  • Formulate and implement policies that stimulate industrialisation and economic diversification in Kaduna State.

  • Promote entrepreneurship through training, enterprise support programmes, and access to finance.

  • Regulate business premises, ensuring a conducive environment for SMEs and large enterprises.

  • Safeguard consumer rights through regulation and enforcement.

  • Facilitate export promotion and strengthen Kaduna’s role in local, national, and global markets.

  • Drive partnerships with private sector players to expand trade and investment opportunities.

  • Champion skills acquisition programmes and vocational training across Kaduna State.

  • Drive research, innovation, and technology incubation through partnerships with universities, research centres, and the private sector.

  • Monitor and evaluate innovation-related projects and enforce compliance with state standards.

  • Develop flagship initiatives such as Skills Acquisition Cities, agritech hackathons, and women-in-tech programmes.

  • Position Kaduna as a hub for innovation-driven human capital development.

  • Lead the state’s digital transformation and ICT ecosystem development.

  • Expand broadband penetration and digital infrastructure for urban and rural communities.

  • Promote e-governance platforms for transparent, citizen-friendly public service delivery.

  • Support ICT hubs, innovation labs, and digital literacy campaigns.

  • Oversee landmark projects such as AI in Hausa, Click-on Kaduna, and broadband expansion partnerships.

  • Ensure Kaduna remains at the forefront of Nigeria’s knowledge economy.

  • Design and implement policies that promote Kaduna as a prime cultural and tourism destination.

  • Develop and regulate tourism facilities, hospitality standards, and tourism-related enterprises.

  • Organise and support flagship cultural events such as the KAFART Festival and the Kaduna Countdown, drawing visitors locally and internationally.

  • Promote creative industries (food, fashion, art, music) as part of Kaduna’s tourism ecosystem.

  • Strengthen community participation in tourism for inclusive economic growth.
