MBIT’s flagship programs empower communities, foster entrepreneurship, and drive digital inclusion across Kaduna State

Arewa Ladies 4 Tech

MBIT, in partnership with Google and Data Science Nigeria (DSN), trained over 5,200 women in AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning, providing them with mentorship, career pathways, and entrepreneurship opportunities. This positions Kaduna as a leader in gender-inclusive technology and innovation.

Jobberman Career fair

The Ministry, in collaboration with Jobberman and the Mastercard Foundation, has organised Career Fairs to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers in Kaduna State.

UNICEF Child Reintegration

In partnership with UNICEF Kaduna Field Office, MBIT implemented an innovative skills development and reintegration initiative for children in conflict with the law or at high risk of offending.

Save-80 Clean Cooking Initiative

MBIT partnered with development stakeholders to empower women through clean energy solutions. 100 women trained in clean stove technology.

Agritech Bootcamps

The Ministry has hosted Agritech Bootcamps and Hackathons to drive innovation in the agricultural sector. Platforms for young innovators and startups to develop tech-driven agricultural solutions. Organised in collaboration with Greysoft and the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA).

AI & Robotics Summit

MBIT hosted the 3rd Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Innovation and Digital Learning Summit, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. Created a platform for students, researchers, and industry experts to showcase innovations. Promoted digital learning, emerging technologies, and 21st-century skills. Strengthened Kaduna’s role as a national hub for technology and innovation.

Kaduna Food Festival

The Kaduna Food Festival, powered by MBIT, has become a platform for culinary innovation, tourism promotion, and SME growth. Engaged 250+ small businesses in the food and hospitality sector. Featured competitions with a ₦1 million prize for outstanding entrepreneurs. Boosted local tourism and showcased Kaduna as a destination for food culture and creative enterprise.

AI in Hausa Initiative

MBIT pioneered the AI in Hausa Project, making technology more inclusive and accessible to local communities. Developed and launched Hausa-language AI and digital literacy content. Promotes digital inclusion, ensuring that underserved populations can benefit from emerging technologies. Strengthens Kaduna’s leadership in localised innovation and indigenous language technology.
